Rough timing · Blocking · Notes
In the shadows of a forgotten future, two rival tribes converge, turning a high-stakes mission for a legendary light into a breathtaking display of synchronized grace.

0:00 – 0:50

Act I · The sizing up

  • Soots (SL) Enter in a tight triangle. Defensive, low-profile scans with poi / double staffs.
  • Cinders (SR) Fluid, sentient line. Reach out with long staffs and rope darts.
  • The spell Cinders hoist one member into a shoulder-mount rotation — a towering display of dominance.
0:50 – 1:40

Act II · The chaos & the spark

  • The break One dancer leaps for the core; the stage dissolves into one-on-one “capture the flag” blocking.
  • Ignition A Cinder draws paraffin oil and breathes fire over the Ember Core, erupting it into flame.
  • Retreat All dancers scramble to the rear, frantically extinguishing primary props with safeties.
1:40 – 2:20

Act III · The veil & the shift

  • Spark wands Dancers pull two wands each from the core and form a shoulder-to-shoulder line downstage.
  • The mask The front line masks the fire breather swapping the core for the spinning plate.
  • Avatar idle Alternating strikes while non-active dancers maintain a rhythmic, subtle pulse at hip level.
2:20 – 3:00

Act IV · The whimsical finale

  • The reveal Center line peels away to reveal a duet — high-energy spinning dance on the plate.
  • Box formation Others retrieve refueled original props and form a wide perimeter box.
  • Final burn Synchronized high-impact fuel burn-off, ending in a dead stop on the final note.
Director's log Keep “avatar idle” rhythmic so wicks stay hot without pulling focus from the lead strikers. The transition to the spinning plate must read as fully masked by the downstage wall of fire.
